When: Sunday 15th May, 10am. Where: Talisker Mine Carpark, Talisker Road, Silverton SA (off Rarkang Road). Cost: Free.
What were the “traditional Cornish mining methods” used at the Talisker mine? How did they process the ore into valuable metals? Why did they use those methods & processes? Why did Cornish miners & their families come to this mine anyway? What was their life like here in the 1860s and 1870s?.
