Guided Walk - Wilampa Trail

Explore a new walk with guides from Friends of the Heysen Trail.

The Wilampa Trail is a new trail opened in December 2021 in Second Valley Forest. The trail is just north of Deep Creek National Park, and near Delamere, Rapid Bay, and Second Valley.

This 7km trail traverses a network of fire tracks through pine plantation and a mixture of hardwood species. Sections of the trail follow the creek line and pass the Second Valley Forest depot and historic sheep yards.

Wilampa comes from Kaurna language meaning "black cockatoo with yellow or white feathers".

Also from this trailhead is the newly opened Jones Journey, a 7km 2-hour trail.
