Peter Lucas, from the Milang Railway Museum, will tell the story of South Australia’s light railways with particular focus on the Yankalilla area. He will describe how men, horses, steam, diesel, electricity and even camels were used to provide motive power. Historic photos will be used to illustrate the various industries and tasks which light railways performed.
