Wirrina Cove

Wirrina Cove is a coastal pocket of the southern Fleurieu Peninsula where marina life, golf and access to the open water come together. Around 90 kilometres south of Adelaide, it sits between Normanville and Second Valley, making it a useful base for exploring the western Fleurieu coast.

At the centre of Wirrina Cove is Marina St Vincent, with a public boat ramp, fishing charter access and departures for diving the ex-HMAS Hobart wreck, which was scuttled offshore in 2002 and now forms one of South Australia's best-known dive sites.

Golf is another big part of the area. The 18-hole Wirrina Cove course winds through the landscape with views across Gulf St Vincent and the surrounding Fleurieu hills, while nearby accommodation makes it easy to turn a round into a longer coastal stay.

With Second Valley, Rapid Bay, Normanville and the road towards Cape Jervis all within easy reach, Wirrina Cove suits travellers looking to combine time on the water with golf, coastal drives and slower days on the Fleurieu.
